Blue Shield of California Fitness Center
Blue Shield relocated its corporate headquarters to Oakland. I designed a floor-to-ceiling mural, showcasing this iconic landscape where employees live and work.
The challenge:
The final approved concept included imagery that Blue Shield didn’t own. After further inspection, the proposed city skyline is a photo illustration and one we’d need to recreate.
The solution:
Starting in Google Earth, I studied key aerial perspectives. After securing a budget to work with a local drone photographer, I took advantage of a clear weather window the following day.
The final artwork was delivered and produced (with glue still drying), in time for Blue Shield’s grand opening in Oakland.
